Emperor Naruhito, Empress Masako, and daughter Princess Aiko attended in a private outing the “Living with Animals Forum 2024” held in Tokyo on September 21.

The Imperial family opened the car window and bowed to gathering people as they entered the venue.

The Japanese Board of Veterinary Practitioners hosted the event and conducted seminars with “companion animals” as the theme.

Forum attendees were able to interact with guide dogs and service dogs in the “working dogs” area.

The Imperial family have rescue dogs and rescue cats in their household and are known to care for animals.

The Imperial family’s tabby cat that wandered into the palace property 14 years ago died last month while being watched over by the family.
