N.Korea abductee families call on Trump to resolve abduction issue

Yokota Sakie, mother of North Korea abductee Yokota Megumi, and others commented on the inauguration of US President Donald Trump.

Yokota Sakie said, “I am very impatient because I feel that if I don't do something soon, we won't be able to see the abduction victims. I hope that President Trump will appeal to Kim Jong-un to rescue and return the victims and help them out”.

Yokota Takuya, head of the Association of Families of Victims Kidnapped by North Korea, added “We strongly urge the US government to take action on this issue, and in cooperation with the Japanese government, would like to two nations to put pressure on North Korea”.

When the families of victims met with President Trump in his first term, they asked for help in resolving the issue, and President Trump has raised the abduction issue with Kim Jong-un at two US-North Korea summits.
