Russia launches intercontinental ballistic missile towards Ukraine
The Ukrainian military announced that Russia launched an intercontinental ballistic missile towards its country on November 21.
The ICBM was one of the missiles that were launched to target the Ukrainian city of Dnipro on Thursday morning.
It was the first time Russia used an ICBM against Ukraine, and it was the most powerful missile the country has ever used, according to Reuters.
The move comes following recent policy shifts by Russia, Ukraine and its Western allies.
Ukraine has used American missiles known as ATACMS and British-made Storm Shadow missile at targets inside Russia following US President Joe Biden's policy change.
Russia's launch of the ICBM, which can carry nuclear warheads, is believed to be aiming threatening western countries.
The Ukrainian military has reported that no casualties or injuries have been confirmed from the ICBM launch.
