Princess Hisako of Takamado attends Ambassador photo exhibition

Imperial Family member Princess Hisako of Takamado attended the opening ceremony of a photo exhibition in Tokyo on October 2.

The exhibition, which marked its 27th showing this year, features collected photographs of Japan taken by Ambassadors and diplomats that were stationed in Japan.

Princess Hisako of Takamado: I am pleased that having a photographic record at hand will enable them to use the photographs to talk about Japan when they give various lectures or write books after returning to their own country. I am very happy that these photos can act as an extension of the friendship relations between Japan and their home countries.

Princess Hisako, who herself enjoys photography, took time to look around the works of art while chatting with the Ambassadors and others in English.
