Osaka Expo 1970's memorabilia on display in Tokyo
S/ Watanabe Sho, Nippon TV Reporter: “A wide range of goods from the 1970 Osaka Expo have been gathered together. As you'd expect, the goods related to the Tower of the Sun are the ones that really catch the eye.”
An event began in Tokyo on March 26, showcasing memorabilia from the Osaka Expo 55 years ago.
With less than half a month to go until the opening of the Osaka Kansai Expo, this exhibition offers a nostalgic look back at the historic event.
The event features 261 items. including records and commemorative goods from the time.
Among the highlights is an object from the Tower of the Sun, which was awarded as a prize for purchasing a color TV.
This is just a small part of the collection of over 10,000 items owned by the collector,
and is scheduled to be on display until the end of March.
Additionally, in a nod to the inclusive spirit of the upcoming Osaka Kansai Expo, staff with qualifications to assist wheelchair users and to guide individuals with disabilities will be on duty, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
