Self-Defense Forces end bathing service in Noto Peninsula
The Japan Self-Defense Forces were dispatched to Ishikawa Prefecture at the request of local authorities following the Noto Peninsula earthquake on New Year’s Day.
In addition to rescue operations, they provided bathing facilities to residents in areas where water supply was disrupted.
In Suzu, bathing service was offered at three locations, but as the water supply has been largely restored, the service ended at the end of August.

According to the Ground Self-Defense Force, bathing support in response to the Noto Peninsula quake was provided across six cities and towns in the Noto region, with approximately 490,000 people using the service.
