Japanese railcar company celebrates 5,000 railcars in United States

Kawasaki Railcar Manufacturing held a ceremony in New York State, commemorating the 5,000th railcar in the country.

76 percent of the railcars, or about 3,800 of them, connect subway stations in New York and the suburbs.

Wide doors and digital displays for smooth boarding and exiting are some features of the firm’s subway railcars.
