Louvre masterpieces headed to Japan
The Louvre will show a collection of 80 works next year in Japan.
The president of Japan’s NTV, a sponsor of the exhibition, attended a ceremony at the Louvre to sign official documents.
Vermeer’s “The Astronomer” will be shown in Japan for the first time.
The exhibit will open at Tokyo’s National Art Center this February.
This is the Louvre’s first exhibit in Japan in six years.
