DeNA launching genetic testing service
Japanese mobile gaming giant DeNA is launching a genetic testing service.
The service, called Mycode, will test customers’ saliva for genetic markers for diseases like cancer and diabetes.
Mycode was developed with scientists at the University of Tokyo.
Obesity and skin quality are among over 280 factors that can be checked.
Customers can apply online and get results as fast as within one week.
Yahoo Japan is planning to launch its own genetic testing service this fall as the world’s tech giants get in on the rapidly growing health sector.
