JR East unveils bullet train with foot bath
Feet feeling tired?
A Japanese train operator has unveiled what may be the first train equipped with a foot bath.
JR East pulled the wraps off its latest bullet train today (Monday) in northern Japan.
One of the train’s cars has two foot baths each big enough for four people.
Another car has a bar and a tatami room where people can relax and sample local sake after their bath.
A JR official says the train is designed to evoke the atmosphere of a hot spring resort.
The train will run on weekends in northern Japan, an area famous for its hot springs.
