Television of the future arrives in Japan this June.

So-called 4K TV is a super hi-definition format developed by broadcasters in Japan.

It has four times the definition of standard HD.

An industry forum announced that test broadcasts will begin June second on Japan’s Sky Perfect satellite system.

Contents are to include Japanese pro baseball games.

A 4K TV and special set-top box are required to view the channel.
