Abe rides rebuilt Sanriku railway
Three years ago a tsunami devastated northeast Japan.
On Sunday, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe rode a railway that has just been reopened following extensive repairs.
The Sanriku line runs along the coast that sustained the brunt of the damage.
Abe surveyed efforts to rebuild the area, including a restored salmon hatchery.
Three years since the disaster, reconstruction is progressing even as thousands of people remain unable to return to their homes.
