Dogs vie for police positions
A group of eager dogs tried out for the police force in Japan today (Tuesday).
Police in Saitama near Tokyo are screening canine candidates to assist them in criminal investigations.
The dogs have to demonstrate four different abilities.
Police tested more than 100 dogs.
In recent years, cases of elderly disappearances have been on the rise.
Police dogs provide important support in investigating missing person cases.
Dogs able to pass the exam will join the Saitama police department in June.
