A dead giant squid is proving a popular attraction with visitors to an aquarium in Japan.

In the new "Backyard Tour" at Shirosaki Marine World in Hyogo prefecture, visitors are guided behind the scenes at the aquarium.

The tour became a hit after the dead giant squid was found on March 5th.

The 1.2-meter long, 50-kilogram squid was too big to be shown in public.

Although it’s frozen, visitors are thrilled to touch the huge body.

Tours start at 1PM every day.
