Japanese male longevity tops 80 years
The typical Japanese man for the first time now lives more than 80 years on average.
Japan’s Health Ministry reported today that Japanese male longevity topped 80 years in 2013.
Officials say Japanese men live an average 80.21 years.
That gives them the fourth-longest lifespans after the men of Hong Kong, Iceland and Switzerland.
Japanese women continue to top the world’s longevity rankings, living an average 86.61 years.
