FIVB World Grand Champions Cup 2013 to Reach More Than 800 Million Homes Worldwide

Nippon Television Network Corporation (NTV), host broadcaster and event rights holder of the FIVB World Grand Champions Cup 2013, proudly announces that significantly more households around the world will be able to enjoy the most important volleyball event of the year. NTV has again appointed IEC in Sports, the international sports marketing agency owned by Lagardère Unlimited, as the official exclusive media rights agency in charge of global broadcast distribution, excluding Japan.

IEC in Sports has signed deals with 18 broadcast partners, covering 816 million homes in 92 territories, representing an increase of 28% in broadcasters and an expansion of 52% in household reach since the 2009 tournament. This year's event takes place in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Kyoto, Japan from November 12th to November 24th and will be carried overseas by a number of leading sports broadcasters, including Al Jazeera for pan-Middle East, beINSport in the USA, Eurosport across Europe, VGTRK Russia 2 in Russia, Globo in Brazil, and CCTV in China, amongst many others. In Japan, the games will be broadcast exclusively by NTV.

The FIVB World Grand Champions Cup was launched in 1993 and is played every four years between the Olympic Games and the World Championships. Host Japan's national team will face the four continental champions from Europe, Asia, South America, North/Central America, as well as one wildcard team. As host broadcaster of the event, we at NTV are honored to bring the fast-paced excitement from world-class athletes and the passionate enthusiasm from the colorful local crowds to large TV audiences across the globe.
