NTV Receives Best Technology Award in the Technical Achievements Category of the JBA Awards 2012
Nippon Television Network Corporation (NTV) proudly announces that it has received two awards at the JBA Awards 2012, organized by the Japan Commercial Broadcasters Association (JBA). NTV received the Best Technology Award in the Technical Achievements Category for the fourth year in a row. In the Program Category, the NTV-produced television drama "HUMANOID MONSTER BEM" received the Program Award.

Television Drama Program Category

Developed by NTV, this year's award-winning LED driver system utilizes existing electrical outlets, which allows for the seamless integration with studio facilities without the need to overhaul their electrical infrastructure. NTV has also packaged LED floodlights with the LED driver system for a complete user-friendly solution. In recent years, the concern over electricity shortages has underscored the importance of environmentally conscious lighting design. As such, the conversion of studio lights to LED has been an important topic in NTV's efforts to conserve energy. However, an LED solution that is compatible with existing dimmer systems has been slow to come by, thereby hampering the industry-wide adoption of LED technology. NTV's award-winning innovation addresses this obstacle. This year's Best Technology Award is testament to the JBA's recognition that the advancement of LED technology will benefit the entire broadcasting industry.
"HUMANOID MONSTER BEM" was given the Program Award in the Television Drama Program Category in recognition of its profound and fearless depiction of human nature, which appealed to people of all generations.
