Movie Title: "ALWAYS -SUNSET ON THIRD STREET- 3"
Production: "ALWAYS -SUNSET ON THIRD STREET- 3" Production Committee
Japanese Theatrical Release: January 21, 2012
This is the first 3D movie of a hugely popular series that portrays the heart and soul of the Japanese. The film was shot using 3D cameras right from the beginning, creating a very realistic 3D effect. Having achieved a look and feel that is natural, has depth, and is gentle on the eyes, the movie can be enjoyed even by our elder audiences. Set in 1964, the year that the Olympics were held in Tokyo, the movie follows the lives of the young men and women of Third Street as they set out and leave the nest.
Movie Title: "KAIBUTSU-KUN: THE MOVIE"
Production: "KAIBUTSU-KUN: THE MOVIE" Production Committee
Japanese Theatrical Release: November 26, 2011
This movie is the sequel to NTV's legendary TV drama series, "KAIBUTSU-KUN". Prince Kaibutsu-kun's supernatural powers (the ability to lengthen and shorten his arms and legs, breathe fire, etc.) and perceptions of the human world are more accurately depicted through 3D. With much thought and effort put into creating something that a wide-ranging audience can enjoy, this movie has become a blockbuster hit that transcends the conventional norms of Japanese film.
After judging in multiple criteria by the Japan Committee of the International 3D Society, twelve outstanding 3D works out of various contents that have been released in local theaters, events, and broadcasts were selected for the International 3D Awards 2012 Lumiere Japan. Exceptional 3D works will be selected further from the twelve recipients for entry into the International Awards, to be held in Los Angeles in February, 2013.
We at NTV are humbled by this recognition and will use this honor as further inspiration to continue producing contents that our audience will appreciate.
