Nippon Television Network Corporation (NTV) proudly announces that two of its dramas received awards in seven categories, including The Grand Prix in the Series Drama category, at the Tokyo Drama Award ceremony held during the International Drama Festival in TOKYO.

This is the second time that an NTV-produced drama won The Grand Prix in the Series Drama category, the first time being "AISHITERU-KAIYO-" in 2009.

The International Drama Festival in TOKYO is Japan's first international drama festival and brings together specialists and key players from film production companies and media-related organizations throughout the country, with the goal of promoting the overseas expansion of Japanese TV dramas. Purposed for giving recognition to high-quality Japanese dramas that would be appreciated overseas, the Tokyo Drama Award judges contents based on the criteria of marketability and merchantability. Recipients of the Best Drama Award and the Grand Prix Award, which is the highest honor, are selected from all the dramas that were broadcast over the past year. Personal prizes are also awarded to individuals in recognition of their outstanding performance. The Asia Award recipient is selected by Asian buyers based on what they think is marketable.
